According to our sources, Intel is going to reduce the processor prices for its budget Celeron solutions on Monday:

Intel Celeron 1.3GHz will drop from $103 to $89;
Intel Celeron 1.2GHz - from $89 to $84;
Intel Celeron 1.1GHz - from $79 to $74.
This way, Intel is getting ready for the last Celeron model based on Tualatin-256 core and working at 1.4GHz to come, and the entire processor family to move to a new Willamette-128 core. (xbl)

Intel und AMD:
Wieder Preissenkungen
Pentium 4 und Athlon XP werden bis 19 Prozent billiger.

Intel und AMD haben die Preise für einige Prozessoren gesenkt. Bei Intel sind P4-Prozessoren mit 1,6, 1,7, 1,8 und 1,9 GHz um bis zu 18 Prozent billiger geworden. Bei AMD kosten die XP Prozessoren 1.600+, 1.700+, 1.800+ und 1.900+ bis zu 19 Prozent weniger. Die Top-Prozessoren XP 2.000+, Pentium 4 2,0 und 2,2 GHz sind von der Preissenkung nicht betroffen.
