Hi Leutz,
hab mir jetzt mal neue Hardware geleistet, und zwar obiges Mobo
mit nem 2500+. Geinstet ist WinXP SP1.
Allerdings stimmt mit dem Sound was net. Wenn ich Musik höre (MP3)
bekomme ich bei meinen 5.1-Lausprechern nur aus den Front-Kanälen etwas raus. Und das hört sich besch..... an, da ja auch kein Bass da ist. Spiele ich jedoch ne DVD unter PowerDVD ab, hab ich vollen 5.1 Sound. Hab als Treiber die von Abit.com.tw und auch die neuesten (2.45) von Nvidia.com probiert, immer das selbe. Unter W98 ebenfalls das gleiche. Bei den 2.45-Treibern für XP ist auch ein Soundutility dabei, mit dem man nach Angaben von Nvidia div. Einstellungen vornehmen kann. Jedoch wenn ich das Proggie starten will, heisst es nur "Treiber konnten nicht initialisiert werden" und fertisch.
In der Systemsteuerung ist aber alles korrekt aufgeführt.
An den Boxen liegts net, da ja bei DVD's alles funzt und vorher (8K5a2+ und W2K SP3) hat auch alles prima gefunzt.
Kennt von Euch einer das Prob ?

PS: Die Systemtemp ist ja wohl auch net so ganz OK (19°C, bei 22° C Raumtemp  )

Maybe some of you have already figured out how to enable all the speaker outputs on the NF-7 board. Well here is my procedure for WindowsXP which has already been briefly explained by deathwardens.
1. Download latest realtek audio driver http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...mpamodel=ALC650
2. Extract those drivers in your folder, it will create a folder named WDM (upper case)
3. Goto Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager
4. Double click on Sound, video and game controllers, it will expand further and then double click on Nvidia audio controller or Realtek AC'97 audio. It depends on which audio controller has been previously installed on your system.
5. Under Driver tab select Update driver, then select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), then click Next. After that select Don't search... and click Next.
6. Select Have disk and then Browse, go to the folder where you have extracted the realtek driver and into WDM folder. Then browse into subfolder wdm (lower case) and double click on a file named Alcxwdm.inf and then OK.
7. Then select Next and Continue anway.
8. After the installation restart your computer.
9. After the restart go to Control Panel and double click on Sounds and Audio devices. In the device volume click on Advanced and then Options/Properties. In Show the following volume controls box check-mark TV Tuner Audio and click on OK.
10. Now you will see a new volume control for Tv Tuner, all you have to do is to check-mark mute.
11. Go back to Control Panel and double click on Sound Effect Manager and configure your speakers. The sound will not be distorted and you will be able to use your speakers.
This works for me. The sound is the same quality as with Nvidia drivers.
