Es sieht also so aus.
Die Platte lief bisher in einem externen Gehäuse, aber über USB (USB2IDE). Sie läuft einwandfrei und geht sogar jetzt noch. Aber wenn ich sie im PC direkt an den IDE-Controller anschliesse geht das nicht mehr.
Das Bios erkennt sie und beim Hochfahren wird sie im DOS genau wie das CDRom und der Brenner erkannt und angezeigt.
Wenn Windows hochgerfahren ist (Win98se), ist sie nicht da. Partition Magic erkennt sie zwar, zeigt sie aber in einem gelben Rahmen und es steht "Fehlerhaft" dort. Wenn ich sie formatieren will, fängt er an, bricht aber kurz danach ab.
Partition-Info (was bei PQ-Magic dabei ist) schreibt folgendes:

Ich gehe daher eher von einem defekt aus, bin mir aber eben nicht sicher.
