Products Chipsets Hyper-Threading Technology Are Intel® Chipsets optimized to support Hyper-Threading Technology? YES. In fact, Intel has many chipsets that are specially designed to support the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor supporting Hyper-Threading Technology1. Why choose a chipset that supports Hyper-Threading Technology? A chipset is the heart of the motherboard, pumping data between the processor, memory and I/O peripherals. Simply put, chipsets that support Hyper-Threading Technology give PCs a turbo-charge, delivering the power users and PCs need to multi-task and increase productivity. Intel chipset designs have been optimized to support Hyper-Threading Technology, which brings additional intelligence to systems so that multiple tasks received from the processor can be managed and prioritized more effectively. The combination of an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor supporting Hyper-Threading Technology1, an Intel chipset that supports Hyper-Threading Technology, an operating system that includes optimizations for HT Technology, and a BIOS that supports HT Technology and has it enabled delivers unmatched system performance and responsiveness. PCs based on the Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor with HT Technology2 run much faster and more efficiently. This gives today's multi-tasking user the ability to listen to music, watch movies, play games, capture streaming video off the Internet, and more - with performance headroom for the future. Intel desktop chipsets that are currently optimized to support Hyper-Threading Technology include: The Intel® 850E chipset with PC1066 RDRAM memory support offers high performance and dual channel RDRAM support. The Intel® 845GE chipset delivers the ultimate in flexibility, with enhanced Intel® Extreme Graphics, DDR333/266 memory, and AGP upgradeability. The Intel® 845PE chipset features robust DDR333/266 memory support and discrete AGP graphics for both mainstream and performance users. The Intel® 845GV chipset enables aggressive system price points with Intel® Extreme Graphics. The Intel® 845G chipset** offers the available bandwidth of DDR266MHz main memory, coupled with a 533MHz or 400MHz system bus and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity for top performance. The Intel® 845E chipset supports the latest AGP graphics cards, and high-bandwidth DDR200/266 SDRAM memory technology. In addition to Intel's design optimization, chipsets that support Hyper-Threading Technology with the 533MHz** system bus have been fully tested and validated on hundreds of different PC applications to ensure complete system compatibility. The Intel Pentium 4 Processor with HT Technology2 can deliver unparalleled system performance and responsiveness. Get the Intel platform advantage today!
