XP Mobile needs cuts for pin mod?

edlight offline OC Newbie 20 Jahre dabei ! AMD T-Bred	I'd like to get an XP Mobile cpu and use the wire-in-the-socket method. Do I need to cut anything on the cpu? I'll be increasing the voltage from 1.45 to 1.68, and setting a higher multiplier. I thought perhaps setting the bus to 166 by motherboard jumper would be enough for that, but could throw on the wire.

Svenauskr aus Krefeld offline Real OC or Post God ! 23 Jahre dabei ! AMD T-Bred 1466 MHz @ 2200 MHz 43°C mit 1.65 Volt	AFAIK all mobile cpus are unlocked, otherwise speedstep wouldn't work. So if you are able to set all other settings on your mainboard, you don't have to cut anything. But not all multipliers should work, you have to test though. Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker.
