Mine only goes up to a fsb of 116mhz then doesn't boot, so the multiplier is the only option for overclocking.

I currently have the same problem as i can so far reach 12.5*116 = 1450mhz on my duron 1ghz, to get any futher i see i'll have to cut the L10 bridge.

Since the duron has a ceramic package unlike the athlons organic one, how can i cut this bridge safely?

no, ure a little wrong, the cpu is not the limit.

with your kt3 and pc2700, it will run at 6.5 X 166

its not a big thing to run a duron with fsb 200 (e.g. 5 x 200 @ 1000mhz @ abit nf7)

so lower the multi and increase the fsb as much as u can

AMD Duron 1000 MHz @ 1450 MHz 41°C mit 1.75 Volt	even with a multi of 5x the computer won't post after a fsb of 116mhz, ok it's possible that there is an incorrect bios setting or something but i've tried everything. Also this is ~ a 2yr old duron, got it when the morgan durons first came out. so it doesn't have any of the benefits of the better yields that todays durons would have.
