I was mainly after the front side bus speed on the 3200+.  When I got my 2800+, I immediately tried raising the fsb past 190.  Apparently it would only allow me to do 195 fsb...and quite to my surprise, it was stable.  Currently I am just doing 195x12.5.

All cpus since week 39 in year 2003 should be locked. So you have to buy an older cpu or a mobile cpu (mobiles are unlocked and in most case very good for overclocking--> 2600MHz with 1.8V are often possible, some cpus can go 2800-2900Mhz with ~2V).

xcuse my english please;)

So, I'm not too pleasantly pleased with the 2800+.  I'm going to end up buying the 3200+.  The question is...should I get retail or just the oem chip?  Which would have a better chance of being unlocked?
I also heard that the green colored chips are unlocked, whereas the brown colored are locked.  Is this true?

Anyway, let me know please.  Thanks.
