I belive google know more. Just search the date by google, you may find a list with locked and unlocked CPUs by date. Somewhere in the deep of ocinside must be such a list, too. |

A Palomino is special, to unlock this CPU you have to close the L1 Bridges on the CPU, but it is to much work. Palos reach with very good cooling and extreme Voltages round about 1,8GHz, so you better stay on your TBred

on fsb 170 its not so stable, sometimes it got freezes, and blue screen...maybe because of my damn 'no name' polish power supply so best thing to oc this cpu with multiplier is change it to older? hmm, now i got Athlon XP 1700+ on Palomino core, from '0208' maybe on it will be possible to unlock/change multip.?

You can't do anything, so with good cooling, look whats the maximum with 1,85V (if CPU Temperature is not higher than 55°C) and thats it. But I would they, you reach a good result, raise from 13,5x133 to 13,5x166. You can now look maybe if 13,5x170 is working good for you...

Oberseite Sockel: Yes, it is the plastic socket you see, you only need to use thin wires, about 8mm long, give them a thin U shape, and put them in the socket. You can't do wrong anything with this method, but there could be one problem: newer CPUs are superlocked, you can not change multiplier in any way, (there is one method, but it wont work with nf2 mb's) so look at the date of your CPU, is it round about after 0339 yoru CPU is probably superlocked your bios may be able to change the multiplier, if you can not change multiplier in bios, I would guess your CPU is superlocked

hi, on start, sorry for my mistakes, im from Poland, and i dont know so good English... now, about the topic: i have got Athlon XP 2200+ with T-bred core, its running stable on FSB 166, 1,8v vcore, but its still too low for me i got Freezone qv-100 AlCu+ Cooler, my memory is 2*512 MB, 400mhz cl 2.5 Twinmos+Kingston, and Epox MOBO 8rda+ rev 1.1 with Merlin bios...graphic is not important now, so let me ask that what's mine problem i try to use this: https://www.ocinside.de/go_d.html?/html/workshop/pinmod/amd_pinmod_d.html but something is 'wrong' for me, because, if i open 'obersite sockel' it is view from plastic part of slot or under the mobo? can i shortcut these pins under the mobo or i need to do that on cpu? i wanted to get multiplier 11x...it is safe or better dont risk? i never made any 'hardware' oc, just in bios, and some newbie things, one time when i tryied to close L2 bridge on Duron, it never again started... just please, tell me step by step, what to do, to get damn 11x multip. or unlock the multiplier to get acces in bios to change it...
